topper boss ??????

   the thing makes me think that is the kite on the boss is huge at 41 sqr meter compared to the 5ks 30 sqr meter ok the main and jib are slightly smaller.and with having the shoot its got to be easier on the drops.
well i have never tryed or seen one close up so finding one for sale is a challenge in itself .

	The ISAF trials that selected the 49er reckoned the Boss was better (or possibly less worse!) than the 5 Tonner.

	hi nigel and merlinboy, i did think about another five and i did see on there website our old 5000 5272 is back up for tempting as it is my crew says he could not face going back to bagging the kite might be the fact we are getting older and want an easier ride. we did look on apollo duck and the one that was on there has gone so the search will go on i am sure there is one out there for us.its only for playing in as we have the real boats at home rs300 rs vareo. andy

	i sailed a boss for a year, it was a great entry into twin wire racing, Make sure you buy one with the mast head conversion as this makes the boat truelly awesome downwind. There was one forsale on apolloduck last week i think. The boss performs well on handicap and although the 5k sailors will deny it the boss was faster with its conversions (mast head kite) Having said that there isnt much between the two part from the 5k is still an active class. I would think you could pick one up for about a grand, if you cant find one for sale speak to some of the big clubs like datchet or rutland as there is usually a few dead ones floating round dinghy parks. 	Andy, Don't know if you also buy 'that other magazine' but in the February 2007 edition of DSM there was a good comparative review of the Boss and the 5000, makes for some interesting reading, Nigel

	hi everyone i am thinking of buying a topper boss so before everyone says get a 5000 i have had one of those for 8 years and enjoyed it greatly also had a 14 great fun too so i fancy a boss so does anyone know if there any for sale and veiws on them would be great.dont have loads to spend so a budget of 2k would be the limit for twin wiring fun.
