Not to Flat Stanley. It is WAY too legendary to do anything to it. It is still fast boat and I think it will be capable of 20 knots in the right hand and the right conditions. The one time I had a GPS on board we got a touch under 18 knots in about 3/4 wind strength. It makes a VERY good 90's rules boat and would make an OK 97 rules. 05 rules is out of the question without serious modification and if you were to screw it up you would make a lot of people angry!

£1100 is a very fair price considering it's monumental history. A truly brilliant boat, a joy to sail and I will be sad to see it go. There were a few younger people at the dinghy show who showed genuine interest in the class and it would suit them perfectly. Ideal for 29er sailors (it will take more weight though) wanting that light weight mayhem that Cherubs provide.

Cherubs are at Draycote this weekend (hopefully, might be Grafham) so if you want a test sail come along!

Merlinboy, there is not a chance in hell I'll be getting a 14!

I don't know where the adds have gone. I haven’t had any e-mails from Apollo Duck or Boats & Outboards about them being removed. I can still edit the advert though. Any thoughts?

Are you interested Chris?

I seem to remembr that Guy and Alex paid £500 for it back in the early 80's from the Snow brothers (who built it in NZ, brought it over here, and won the worlds in it). They wanted £600, so they removed the compasses (there were two, one on each side of the foredeck), and let them have it for £100 less.

So like any vintage classic, this one's appreciating!

Fantastic!
