i'm trying to get the following event going in 2008 ... i've mailed emma at TASA

http://www.3000class.org.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=831

the idea is to fire up the lower performance TASA classes (I'm not involved in TASA by the way, but very much support what they're setting out to achieve)

Queen Mary in June is looking favourable at the moment

just occurred to me, on entering the y&y 'arena' again, that single trapeze Cherubs could qualify ... what's your PY now, we could always lower the bar a bit

4000s and 29ers are definitely in a different league though, with racing being off an even handicap

i'd be very interested to hear from any 500 sailors out there, not sure how to contact your class ... contact info@3000class.org.uk so we can confirm with the club a.s.a.p.

could be a good event for all abilities, and keenly competed between the top sailors in each class ... there's probably very little performance difference in 'real world' sailing conditions

Someone on the Buzz forum has suggested it should handicap ... fair point.

Maybe something along the lines of the Grafham Grand Prix would work, with three handicap races on the Saturday, 2 to count, followed by a non-discardable pursuit on the Sunday.

Hi Emma, it was just after you sent out the TASA e-mail advertising 2008 events and asking for CA calendars for next season. Let you know more after we meet with the Vago's at Draycote this weekend. Thanks for the support!
