All look like sensible selections, you have to feel sorry for Ed Wright ...

You do have to wonder what Ed needs to do to get selected

I notice there is no tune up boat for the Yngling.

They are still fighting for selection perhaps and wouldn't collaborate at this stage?

I would imagine that applies to the 49ers too... Maybe the tune-up/reserve boat gets to go to the event but logistically sending a spare Yngling to China is either unrealistic or not attractive to the team?

there's no spare for the womens 470 either, or the star, but that is understandable.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Thank goodness for common sense.  Sarah has beaten Shirley in every event for the last 10 months and also been on the podium every time.  Shirley is just throwing her toys out of the pram because she did not qualify for the pre-olympics.  She hadn't even sent a boat out, what was she going to do if she had beaten Sarah.  I do feel sorry for Ed Wright though, what can he do with Ben in the class.

Ben is an olympic gold medalist twice over? Correct me if im wrong. And came back to win that finn regatta after not sailing the boat for a long while. I think we know why he was selected!

Shirley has thrown her toys out the pram see http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/sailing/6902227 .stm

She seems to forget both boats have 2 olympic golds on board.

You don't seem to hear this from the Ed Wrights of this world.
