Symmetric Hikers Challenge

The clue is pretty much in the name but just in case, this is a competition for ALL hiking boats with a symmetrical kite (py lower than 1200).
14th/15th July at Rutland and it'll be well worth it.  I know, i know, some of you are thinking, oh its just another event, BUT a quick look at the list of prizes up for grabs may change that view somewhat.
A sunsail holiday for two to be drawn on the saturday whilst you're all drinking the night away should be more than enough to inspire you there but i know you die-hards want something a little more so how about:

1st Overall - A new superspar mast for your boat

2nd Overall - £50 cash

3rd Overall - £25 cash

1st Junior - £25 cash

1st Wooden boat - £100 voucher courtesy of paincraft

Fotoboat will be awarding pictures as prizes
And other prizes will be awarded courtesy of Speed Sails and Harken

............Not to shabby for one weekend of the year.

For more info go to http://www.speedsails.co.uk and click on the events link.

p.s I think Im doing it in a lark

Looks like it will be easy meat for a Merlin ... I wonder if they will offer a carbon rig?

It's a standard rig although there is an option to upgrade to carbon.

I'll be expecting a yachts and yachting forumite entourage to turn up at this event, and of course will be bitterly disapointed if we cant run dry the beer taps at Rutland.

Tasars have no kite, although we have been tempted to try. Is this post
connected with the question I asked of Speed Sails regarding entering this
symetric hiking race at Rutland ? I have not yet recieved a reply. We would
like to do it if it is possible.

By the way do not be fooled, tickler is in fact tickel but with a computer/
brain problem.
