Following on from the 'smallest waters' topic, I thought it might be interesting to find the most number of clubs on the smallest patch of water..

Whilst the Welsh Harp probably takes the biscuit with Wembley, London Uni, BTYC, and several others I've forgotten, what about other venues... christchuch harbour seems to support Christchurch, Mudeford and Hiighcliffe all on small patches of water.

I also find it a bit odd that the Southampton shore used to have Soton, Weston, Netley and one more I've forgotten

thoughts, comments?

If you allow areas for inland stuff then it has to be the Cotswold Water Park, with Whitefriars, South Cerney and Cotswold all within a stone's throw

Or Langstone and Chichester Harbours. There are many clubs in that area... Langstone, HISC, Emsworth, Emsworth Slipper, Itchenor, Eastney Crusing Association, Locks, Mengeham Rythe, Thorney Island, Tudor.... etc etc! There are more too I just can't remember them off hand!

You are missing the obvious answer, which is Cowes. Royal Yacht Squadron, Royal Corinthian, Royal London and Island Sailing Club, all within a two minute walk, plus Cowes Corinthian another 5 minutes away and Gurnard SC a mile down the road.
