that's because its really light warm and durable. and by the standards of its compeditors quite cheap. i'd agree with the rooster recomendations. their stuff is really hard wearing and comfortable to sail in

just bought the new rooster dry top and it is made out of some very durable material, i cant see that wearing through anytime in the near future, but then there is the downside of the rooster 'uniform that seems to have taken over the laser class and is spreading quickly, dont get me wrong it seems like quality gear but EVERY! has it! lol

Henri Lloyd is the way forward. I had my first one for 4yrs, sailed with it almost every week, and I only replaced (with another Henri Lloyd) because I had outgrown it, not because it was worn out.

I've got the magic marine hikers with the knee pad and other than it being a pain to move the batterns, once you get them spot on never move them, they are excellent.
I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

Does anyone have any experience with the "Ismuth" hikers from Crewsaver?

The "Summer hikers" in a recent Musto catalogue i got looks quite nice, but again .. are they worth it?
