I don't think I've ever seen such a huge wind forcast for this time of day, we're posting 81 mph at 12 noon, coupled to a 6.8 mtr spring tide, I've even installed a tie down in the drive where the Contender is currently parked up.
Going down the lake later this avo to check the Solution and theBoat park at Hythe. Dogs off chains tomorrow boys, buckle up. |

There's a flood warning in place for the East Coast of Dorset. Didn't know we had one... Hamphire blown away perhaps? Seriously, this looks like widespread damage is on the cards.

Just been down to our club to check our boats . All well tied down, put some extra ropes over our boats just to make sure . I did have a quick check round the rest of the boat park , every boat seems to be ok. But the bottom line is you never really know how well other people secure their boats . The only time I’ve ever had a boat damaged in a storm was when someone else’s boat was blown onto mine

All fine here apart from the roof being blown off a brick bus shelter 100 yards up the road.
My new (overengineered) fence survived |
