Why not blow off the cobwebs and burn off some calories after Christmas by taking part in the Grafham Grand Prix on Sunday 29 December?

This year we have a new 3 track format and we have been careful to make sure that all catamarans can take part and are included in the most appropriate start with only asymmetric and very fast Cats doing the windward - leeward course and others like the Dart 18, Sprint 15, Prindle 15, etc doing the trapezoidal course. If we get a good breeze cats can do very well and if there are 8 or more cats in any start they will get separate prizes. The starts are as follows:

COURSE ALPHA – WINDWARD/LEEWARD

- ASYMMETRIC MONOHULLS (handicaps 695 – 1185)

- ASYMMETRIC AND FAST MULTILHULLS (handicaps 644 – 958)

- Foiling International Moths and RS600FFs

COURSE BRAVO - TRAPEZOID

- FAST NON ASYMMETRIC MONOHULLS (handicaps 888 – 1070)

- MEDIUM NON ASYMMETRIC MULTIHULLS (handicaps 784 – 986)

COURSE CHARLIE - TRAPEZOID

- SLOW NON ASYMMETRIC MONOHULLS (handicaps 1077 – 1204)

- SLOW NON ASYMMETRIC MULTIHULLS (handicaps 987 – 1160)

There will be 2 races sailed back to back with the first race at 1100. The briefings will be at 0940, 0950, 1000.

Entry fees will be £19 per boat (GWSC Members £6) and limited to the first 200 received. Pre-entry is by ON LINE ONLY at www.sailjuiceseries.com up to 20:00 on Friday, 27th December 2013. Entries after this will be subject to a supplementary entry fee of £5.00 and can be made on the day at Grafham Water Sailing Club.

Full details are available on the Sailjuice and Grafham websites.

Cheers

It was great that we got a decent attendance of Cats at the Grafham Grand Prix.
We got 16 cats and 4 Challengers.
8 A class cats took part showing that there are some cat fleets that are prepared to travel for big winter events.
Many monohull classes travel for the sailjuice winter sereis and it's great if we can mobilise a few cats too. Smile
Maybe another year more clubs will let cats take part.........
Cheers
