I saw this at the Dinghy Show yesterday, Number 36 in the production run and looking very fresh, clean and sleek with light blue topsides. There seemed to be lots of interest as the stand was always crowded with people milling around asking questions.
The future looks bright ~ K for Keels by the looks of it.

Thanks Dom. It did look very pretty. Lots of polish on Thurs!!!
I think we sold a couple over the weekend and another 4 or 5 awaiting demo sails so a fantastic weekend. Oh and another call this morning from someone wanting to buy...
Back in the boat workshop for me I guess!!!

Simon Hawkes sailed one at the Steamer this weekend and finished third overall. He was fifth last year in his Phantom, so is the K1 a PY bandit now? He said it was nice to sail and he overtook merlins on close reaches so it has a fair turn of speed and reckoned it was about the same speed as a phantom upwind. also said that he knees didn't hurt like they would have done if he'd been in the phantom.

Simon is a good sailor so I doubt that the K1 will be a bandit at 1060 at least not with me sailing one.

That's right the changes are small but over a few years they do make a difference, if the Phantom drops 5 points again next year that's 15 points in total which does make a difference.  As for the K1 i have raced against one loads at Tewkesbury and it goes bloody well.  Not sure i would be in the position to yell bandit just yet.

Hi Ruscoe
The Phantom dropped 8 in 2010 and 5 in 2011 so I think we are pretty close to your magic 15 already.

Gordon its not my magic 15, i was just trying to explain to people that small drops over years do make a larger difference.
