My sails still are not back after 3 weeks.. It was only little repairs! Not amused. They only had to replace a couple of jib hanks and replace the zip on the main, and tidy the bolt rope up... Only an hour or two at the maximum!!

I wadn't great with the whole small tiller movements at first!! and too little in tacks

I went out today, nice gentle breeze just fully trapeezing upwind.

Had a go in my mates Musto today! Bloody hell it was hard - very flat, lower boom than the 6 and spent more time upside down with the kite tangled round the forstay and fishing with the kite under the boat. Found it a boring boat upwind really,(compared to the 6 I needed more wind to wire) and was more stable and barge-like      Down wind though... WOW! Deadly sillent, in the toe loop, hanging on flat wireing with the scared face on whilst watchin each gust push me ever closer to the leeward bank and water takeout tower - went for the drop and... splash capsized again. At that moment realised that was enough excitement  i needed for that day and went back in then later took out my 6 when the breeze built.

Top day    --- bit cold though! Roll on Summer

Mark.

I smell bull$hit!

Really? It was pretty windy yesterday (a gusty 4/5). It has to be to get a 200 moving at a half decent pace. Today, at times I had 8 knots out of FS upwind in a 2-3. I've had 17.5 knots (downwind obviously) out of FS in about 15 knots of breeze. The same day we had and held 9 knots upwind.

EDIT: Just found out that top gust yesterday was 27 knots and was averaging 18-20 knots.

Had an epic sail at carsington today with Noycey. Hit a max speed of 17.4knts on a very very bumpy flat water run (must have had the bow 5 ft above the water a few times) should have used more T foil. Went like an absolute train upwind, hope someone took some photo's. I'll upload a gps track later in the week.

We had about 10-12 knots at King George. Some times a touch more, some times a lot less. Manages 8 knot upwind a few times and had 13.3 top speed, 12.8 10 second average. Doesn’t sound like much, but for the wind conditions (as Tony as would say) GGGGGRRREAT!

Wind at Hoo today was a bit rubbish. Plus, took three attempts to get the fast handicap fleet away. Wasn't enjoyable sailing.
