Late night for you, Stewart? I'm in the rescue boat today; it's only a force 4 at the moment but the weather forecast promises us much more entertainment that that! |

By the time I arrived at the club, it was blowing a force 7 with big waves, so no rescue boat launching. Ah well, we left early and went to play squash instead.

Is anyone mad enough to go sailing this weekend?

Popped down to the lake today to hear the rescue boat had to go out to break the ice. Was still evidence at 3pm how thick it was. Will refreeze again tonight! So who is crazy? |

BLYM was frozen totally over. Few tracks through the ice where the ducks and swans had forged paths, but I have a feeling its gonna refreeze by the morning.

Definitely going to have a boat out icebreaking tomorow .. Gotta watch for icebergs after that though! |

Had to cancel our Mirror event tomorrow as the Welsh Harp is rather icy... solid ice round the edges and thinner stuff most of the way across. They couldn't get the dory through it...

combination of a poor forecast and the joys of sperate engineering works on both lines south of Cambridge* resulted in calling it off for tomorrow.

Chew was frozen over by the duck bridge yesterday at 3pm, but hopefully the main lake will be okay.  It'll be my first sail in a year, so looking forward to it even if it is -4C!
