First go trapeze helming. He'd got the tiller extension stuck between the sail and boom on a tack, and got wet. Easy done when you aren't used to a 6 foot extension!

Yeah fittings will be a cost, but there aren't many of them thankfully! Only blocks for the main and outhaul, cunningham and kicker.

Still it can only be good news to get the hull shell out reasonably cheaply, but its a surprisingly low percentage of the total cost.

I think that the hull material cost will be an eye opener for many.   Particularly as the tricky bits are all nicely cut with near zero waste.

Yes, the fittings, rig and foils will cost a fair bit but the Farr 3.7 is a relatively small, single sail boat with a few simple controls.

The Farr 3.7 is a great boat and although it's been around a while, it's a breath of fresh air.  I wish the class every success.

should be a good weekend, 10-15 knots forecast NE, great flat water reaching out towards osea island when the tide comes in and then some chop when its on its way out.
