Anyway, no sl*gging off needed, the d-one is a good boat, well sorted with a nice looking rig, some good boats just look ugly and this is one of them im afraid. Sailing is all about making friends right

It seems a shame that you are negative about the D-One because of postings on this thread that are outside our control.  As mentioned in an earlier reply I made most of the postings are from third parties and not from Devoti or us, the UK Devoti dealers.

For the record we have been very supportive of the Finn class in the UK over the years and will do everything necessary to look after the UK D-One fleet going forward. 

The D-One pricing in the UK is in ££££ not €uros so no need to change your currency.

What a plum!  The only reason the D-one gets bad press is the way you guys back handidly sl*g off the 100, which in my limited view will be a more successful in the UK market. 

Do us both a favour and look back on the postings.  You will find that I have not criticised any other manufacturers.  We are the UK dealers for the D-One and the only people who have posted here with some involvement are Luca, Richard Stenhouse and myself.  All other postings are independent and outside our control.  I must say that I cringe at some of the things they have to say but I guess they get emotive due to their enthusiasm for the D-One.

I am confident that the D-One will stand on it's merits and will gain strong support in the UK.

Thanks for all the replies Rodney.

I saw the D-One out at Hayling mid august. I didn't get a close up look but
it was good to see one in person rather than just pics and vids. After seeing
it out I'm now more intrigued to see how it really feels on the water. I'm
pretty busy for the next month or so but will PM you when I'm freed up to
see If I can come for a test sail in the cold cold winter.
