Have to admit, in light stuff L2's are slow compared to others, but in a blow they are quick for a non-skiff. Bigger kite I think but allways slower than a furball on a lake, not so on the sea. They will plane upwind easily in a blow if you bear away, get going and then head up a tad (not too far or you'll kill it). In a 3 sail reach F4-5-6  they about as much fun as you can get in a non skiff..........

......how's that for an unbiased view

One word he didn't mention was COLD! It was freezing! Boat will be patched up ready for next Sunday though, bring your boats and make it one to remember!

I was there watching !

Got there a little early as had some boat bimbling to do; did this; got feckin cold, gave some black tape to the International 14 boys and sent home as it was cold with a capital F.

CHeers for the Tape SS, didn't realise it was you !!!  We will se you there next week Mr Noyce, sounds like it could be as windy again!   The cold is what killed us in the end it just got TOO much! and the shackle.  Hopefully next week we can get in the groove as the 5:30 start to get the boat there in time took it out of me!

No problem !

Hopefully 'll be out to play with the rest of the club boats.  Will hopefully get out early and have a quick play up and down the lake

We didn't fair much better either! Had a close call with a 49er when steaming downwind with the kite up which was a little bit sketchy... bore away on a gust only to see the front end of a 49er about a boat length in front of us! Serious code brown situation, extreme bear away to avoid resulted in some swimmage, in the process I proceeded to rip myself a new one on the wing bar!

Matters were made worse in the second race when we sent it down the mine UPWIND and I elbowed the boom right on the funny bone (why the f*/k it's called the FUNNY bone beats me!) Caused instantanious pins and needles in my hand and I couldn't move my fingers for a good few minutes!

Saw your main Mr Merlinboy... I thought it looked like it had had a person through it!
