Regular crew is in New Zealand and there was too much wind for a scratch crew.  It was whistling through the rigging, so I went home and watched the match.  Disappointed.

well i got back from a week in minorca, great week, mustos are much better than 700s and 800s go like a scalded cat upwind in +25 knots with an instructor at the back, never got to go downwind properly cos the kiker snapped. the only problem with going on holiday and sailing expensive boats that you cant afford and didnt think you would be able to sail anyway is that you may just find you can sail them (refering to the musto)

and this weekend i went out in the 600 for about 5 minutes before the diamond wires fell apart, thought that it wasnt safe having them so slack they werestreaming off the back of the boat, dropped the main and drifted in. unfortunately i couldnt get to the club on sunday because of the massive amount of work for college

PS: my diamond wires were attached by a bit of string running through the bottle screw but it wore out, the idea was to get the same tension on both wires because when i put them in a shackle one got pinned underneath the other, making it impossible to tack from port onto starboard in a bit of breeze. now i have squashed said shackle in the vice and all should be well for next weekend.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Ovi inlands, good event loads of boats, rubbish weather racing cancelled sunday, really really dissapointed that the club didnt put any entertainement on and closed the bar at 9!!!!  Not good after a £23 entry fee! still the pub down the road was good!
