Nope; windward side and once the apparent wind built I actually needed to bear off too - 32.5sqm on a 104kg boat can make it go in almost no wind !

Wanna learn to Ski - PM me..

had to be the 'living' dummy for the capsize recovery drills for people on safety boat course at my club today.

but all good got to go play in the boat for a while

cant find any 'current' results for the fireball inlands but our beloved Villan (and crew) are the only wooden boat there... and are sitting in LAST place

only one breath of wind... but it got me hiking in the 300, just ended up to windward

roll tacks was the thing to do today

^^ Wrong!! There were 3 other boats down as "Clasics" .. But we were the oldest by far! 13013 vs 138** ( or is it 139** )

Anyways ....

Spent the weekend drifting in the Fireball

Saturdays racing was postponed from 11:00 until about 2:30. ( 3:00 was the final cutoff point )
Wandered around, met Turnturtle, Just as he was packing the boat up!

Finally launched into just enough wind to get the kite filling ( at 2:30 ). Held the one race, ( if you can call it that! ) and came in for grub.

Sunday .. Launched, got 2 races in back to back .. We beat 2 boats in one of the races!! I love it when the Black Flag is up .. as it meant we got too beat 2 boats!! ( Thanks Guys!! )

All in all ... we were watching the Winder's go by .... Nice boats .. Transoms need to be made more attractive though.

first weekend in ages with a vaugue hint of breeze at all and ive had 2 four hour safety boat duties, only one of which was i rostered for. not happy. the commodore should know better than to go on holiday and not bother swooping his duty.
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

weekend spent playing in the spice  and a good windy(ish) weekend aswell

raced it today and improved my skills on the art of  twin trapeze water starts

oh and to all cherub sailors(who i take the Micheal out of for boat breakage) i finally broke something of some importance on the boat during the second race...
going for the hoist and up it goes, half way up hear a twang, drop kite, and end up digging the bow underwater(woo for toe loops) and have the spinni pole end up trailing behind the boat.(force of water i guess made it go flying out of the back)... turns out it was only the rope that pulls the pole out that snapped

HA! It was good force 4 at King George today and I didnt break anyhting in the Cherub. Pacing Furballs is fun! Today was the first time we popped the kite, but I dont have rachets on the kite so it was a little difficult for the crew

Just got back from the final round ot the TNT Flying Fifteen Travellers Series at Carsington.

Yesterday was good sailing - Around 15kts in the afternoon.  This morning we arrived to about 20 and rain and cold.  Once we got going, so did the wind which built a bit more.  Finally a squal came through and we had mid to late 20's for about half an hour some serious downwind fun!  Once the squal had passed through, it left us with a 90 degree windshift which ment the beat became a reach and so did the run
