when i was learning to use a kite we rigged it on land and the instructor said it was fine, but when we hoisted it we found we couldn't drop it. We ended up sailing down the menai straits in a F5, with the instuctor in the safety boat trying to re-rig it on the water.

Oh amusing. funny kite hoists make the best laughs, friend put his kite on sideways and didnt realise till he hoisted it.

the tack ripped off my 29er kite once, it fell in the sea on a rubbish drop, filled with waer and ripped all the way across @ the top of the reinforcement, best thing was, we didnt even notice til we went 2 put it up again and found it in 2 bits! |
