I think you will find that as the keel is longer than the width of the boat you will be fine.

A photo can be deceptive, expecially taken from a distance with a big zoom. It flattens the depth and makes things look (sometimes) worse than they are!

well a Laser 2 doesnt exactly have much freeboard so it wouldn't have to be a very big wave!
