a lot to be desired. Especially in the light of the inability of a lot who sail it
to even get it round corners without falling over.

In fact design wise compared to windsurfing and kitesurfing even, modern
dinghy design and build is still in the dark ages.

Hardly surprising given y'all seem to worship Aussie boat designers.

Yeah i spose your right, i mean a nomex core carbon 14 is still way in the dark ages !!!!  And the foil technology on moths is ancient

Are you some kind of nob m8?
I really have had enough of u talking out of ur backside.
Windsurfers and kiteboards are desinged to do different things.
One thing is for certain all though you may see our boats as primitave id like to see a windsurfer survive the rig loads etc my 14 does.

Oh and if you are so interested in kitesurfing and windurfing then please concentrate on those sports and leave us alone

Lets not forget it was designed to be the F1 at Olympic level. Its not for your run of the mill club sailors...

This is probably related to the sales volumes and practicality. Don't know what the actual global windsurfing and kitesurf sales vs dinghy sales figures are like but I am sure you will find that the basic rule of economy, demand & supply is at play here....

Can't you read? He is not an Aussie... Don't be sour grapes for sending them there in the first place. They could all still be British you know ;-)

That comment isn't really fair Graeme, lots of windsurfers leave a lot to be desired if your point is valid, i rarely ever see a windsurfer manage to tack or gybe. Indeed the top windsurfers manage fine as do the top 49er sailors but "most" who sail them can't manage.

And if your windsurfer designs are so advanced can you get one of them to build a twin trapeze monohull faster than the 9er for us, then we will believe you.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

And since he was the weather guru for the Olympic Australian team he did most of his data collection at the big international venues - most of which are in the northern hemisphere.

If there is anybody who's opinion we should respect he is at the top of the list!

By the way, he is a Kiwi. Despite living in Aus many years I understand he never naturalised... And I must say, I saw him out sailing late last year at the ripe age of 86. I bet he can still beat you anyday! I have huge amount of respect for what FB has done and continues to do for our sport.

Not to mention the Laser 2 and as a consequence the hull of your last boat, the Laser 3000.
