sorry....I had a feeling it was 'your' boat whilst reading the thread.  Embarrassed   In my defence it will continue to be used to teach lots of people to sail and instruct, so it has gone to a good home.
the same, but different...

Get a Miracle, immediately introduce the lads to winning silver the easy way, you cant miss with its current handicap and there's a lively scene, they're all over our local lake, so if you're sailing on confined water they're ideal. I often see a very young lad being introduced to the delights of sailing in one and i dont think ive ever seen one go over.

Then when they're old enough you can use it to demonstrate the full destructive force of fire, and toast some marshmallows, you'll be doing society a favour.

take a serious look at the miracle - In order to get my kids on the water (10&6) I picked one up from ebay a couple of years ago for a couple of hundred quid (admittedly I have spent some time and cash getting it up to spec - but it was essentially all there, and could have been sailed immediately, after a lick of varnish, if I wasnt so picky!)

or you could look at enterprises too.

kids feel safe sitting inside a boat initially, so these older designs score well. Imho the mirror is too small to be comfortable with 2 kids on board

So, Graduate or Miracle? Or possibly Firefly.

I'd say Graduate, but then I own one, I'm reasonably local and I'd like someone to race against other than Russ.
On the other hand, the new Miracle py surely makes it the bandit of bandits and there are a few around the Bristol area. Toby, grab Nick Smith who is winning everything down at Chew in the frostbite series, he'll give you miracle advice.

Thanks Paul. I had a look at Nick's Miracle a couple of weeks ago - they certainly sail I quickly.    Are the Grad and Mracle similar to sail (spinny excepted)?

I always found the grad to be a smoother boat than the miracle, but they each have their place.
