Either the guy has not the slightest clue about practical structure weights or he's just spouting BS for the sake of it. Actually, quite probably both...

I was just pointing out that by GRFs own admissions he's already 40% out on one of his design parameters and I have no doubt he'll be even further out on his perfomance hopes/dreams/delusions.

It's his money he can waste it anyway he likes; he'd be better off spending it on:

Isn't that like racism? Not much I can do about my height, yet you can get called on homophobia which is a lifestyle choice, you certainly get called on gags about ethnicity or skin colour, yet ethnical types could change their appearance deny their ethnicity to suit circumstance, Michael Jackson even changed his skin colour, yet us poor vertically challenged types don't even manage to shelter under the cloak of the politically correct, why it wasn't that long ago when we were even discriminated against in employment in the Police & Fire services.

She's not very clever though Seamonkey, can't post a link, knows nothing about hull weight/volume ratios, knows even less about performance boats, I don't think she is jimbo, he could post a link properly..

Points of pedantry:

1. Being lame is not a lifestyle choice.
2.  Using 'she' is an insult is not nice.
3, It was a contender that got trashed in the waves, not a 600.

End of pedantry.

You know how you go into a shop with a clear, informed idea of what you want and how it exactly fits your needs, but the know nothing smart arse shop assistant will try to tell you you're not only wrong but also an idiot and try to sell you something that won't do the job at all?  That person is very closely related to seamonkey.

Grumpf, please bring the thing to Rutland for its launch so I can a) watch and b) have a go and c) sail it faster than you can.

your ever loving wing wang xxx

'lame' as a replacement for lame?  you are kidding me?

yet the censor lets 'arse' through.  Truly bizarre.

Good luck GRF, an interesting concept, and one I will follow with interest, a modern concept, to the skiff type hull, may work! (Although gut feeling say's it won't!)

Congratulations, to have the balls, to do it! Hey I do have to say, it looks pig ugly, however, if it works, and goes fast we will all be in one soon (When in it you will not be looking at it!!). Although, a fleet of them, will never get the photographers rushing.....

Good luck tomorrow Graeme.
People are forgetting
Apart from the fact that it will be blindingly fast around the course.....

It is designed for GRF's needs, sailing where he does.
And, on the face of it, that's what it will do.

(FFS don't prove me wrong)

I don't sail at Rutland, but I'm going up there tomorrow, the day of Grumpf's planned launch, and I want to see what happens!
