Ha just worked out the difference between posh & not now. You have several bottles of a swanky sounding cider, I have a gallon of the stuff in a plastic container......
SmileJust like sailing, then - 1.5 Euro a bottle cider gets you labeled as posh, just as a £500 boat does! It is all in the perception...

Yeah, but it comes in a bottle....
Everything I say is my opinion, honest

Thank you gordon for your concern, I do appreciate it but perhaps some of my remarks may be a little tongue in cheek. Not that I can tell the difference between tongue and pancetta.

Depthcharge was a turbo version of snakebite. Snakebite, with I think Drambui or something similar in a schooner glass dropped into the pint.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

A depth charge was any pint with a short dropped in it glass and all, that you had to neck before the short glass hit the bottom. Too many of them over the years back in the 80's... do students still do that kind of thing?

I sometimes think its a mistake to acquire an educated palate when it comes to too many things... I'm quite happy to be content with Gold blend rather than "real" coffee and instant mash is OK provided you think of it as a foodstuff of its own rather than a substitute for real potato (oh, and add some seasoning, a bit of butter or reasonable marge and a little bit of powdered garlic and maybe just a soupcon of cayenned pepper if your tastes lie that way...)

There are limits though, and consuming McMorons burgers or keg beer are definitely beyond them...

Grate some nutmeg in your Smash - lovely.  Or mix a little Marmite in.

First one posh? 2nd not?

Of course I never had the pleasure of student life. While you lot were destroying your organs with foul fluids I was leading the sedate life of a working lad. Of course I hear these impressive tales of drink and sex but find them more palatable with a large pinch of salt.
