Sorry missed this. The NZ class association suggest 55kg to 80kg. I'm saying 50kg to 75kg because we have a little less wind. Pete Barton is, I think 78kg? Sure in the lighter stuff you are going to be hiking and you'll need a bit more breeze to get on the wire at the 80kg. But think of it this way. It's 8.8sqm that is 0.7sqm more that a Rooster 8.1 which is for 90kg+. But you have a trapeze. So you are likely be ticking along nicely hiking in >F2 - and in and out / perching F2>F3 - wiring above this at 80kg. So a 50kg helm is going to be powered up and caneing you up to the point where they have to depower ?F3>F4 at which point you are powered up and making the most of it. As the wind gets up you have the advantage on the 50kg helm who is toughing it out or decided to stay on shore or indeed get his reefed sail out (no joke some guys have them in NZ). Cheers Jack, i am currently 94kg, aiming to be 86kg so i'm firmly out of the window. Still would love to have a go at building one though.

Great to see Spinlock are giving space to display the 3.7 at the dinghy show.

Looking forward to seeing the 3.7 more than almost anything else at the show - certainly more than any of the manufacturer stands. At just over 70 kg (and, I hope, shrinking) I'm pretty much ideal weight. Maybe one day... certainly an attainable dream, though I tend towards rebuilds generally.
