With the way the centre of that low is following me I feel a bit like Indiana Jones as he ran out of the tunnel with the huge lump of rock rolling after him...

Back on track - just a short & fairly pointless attempt to move into a better grid!

Things might get a little more interesting towards the end of this week as heading abroad for a few days without laptop. In a perfect world I will have just passed the next gate immediately prior to leaving, if not will have to set a course NE through the gate & onwards to Sri Lanka I reckon.

That's what I went through in the last two weeks, had 3 days in Spain, 3 days in Poland and 3 days in Berlin. Begged and borrowed devices to keep me on track.

One advantage of being in Berlin was that you tend to go out all night so I was able to do night course changes I would not have ordinarily been able to do. Just got Brussels this week for one full day only. If you are desparate I found you can use a normal browser on an Android phone. Very clunky, but does work in the end. The VR App always crashed, even after they updated it, so was next to useless.

I'm currently abroad, and the VR website seems to be really struggling on my laptop through the hotel wifi. Oh, its just loaded ok so might be able to change direction a bit now!!!

Having been up a lot of the night due to an ill daughter, finally got some good sleep and missed the wind change. And naturally the site has crashed when I wake up....ggrrrr

I have installed "Puffin Browser" on my iPhone, and can use the standard VR website on it.

Seems to work pretty well - only 3 days left of my free trial though so might have to dig in my pocket for the full version.

Wouldn't it be good if they made a Virtual Regatta iPhone app?!!

Yep, back up again. Will investigate puffin browser as I just got a new iphone yesterday. I found the android browser could also just about be used, but very very clunky, sometimes taking 10 minutes to make a change.

What boat are you sailing GarethT?
