I think that the Max Moseley 'incident' was almost more incredible because he is the son of Oswald Moseley ( Clicky )  - I was amazed how few people realised that there was a connection between the two of them ! Shocked

Do you not perhaps think that's why the (toilet) paper thought it would be a hoot to write the piece... and perhaps embelish at will?

My point was that lots of people seem to be aware of the News of the World story but far less seem to be aware of the historical connections i.e Max Moseley's father who was one of Britain's most famous fascists who got married to Nancy Mitford in the presence of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels......and that's just part of the factual bit! That's fairly colourful before you start trying to add the News of the World's allegations

I guess the 'allegations' may be based in fact but distasteful as it sounds I'm not sure there is any law broken and Max Moseley is not Oswald Moseley... I'd be devastated if people judged me by my fathers attitudes and political beliefs.

I think you owe me an apology for that, don't you?

Having read the judgement, which is scathing on the really quite appalling and *criminal* behaviour of the newspaper and its staff its easy to understand how the judge was able to find that militaristic != Nazi.

Another interesting thing from the judge's report was that the ladies that the News of the World were attempting to blackmail were upset to be described as "members of the oldest profession". They seem to consider the job of paid participation in role playing games to be more akin to that of an actress.
