I won the odd open meeting at 10 1/2 stone, but certainly found that in the light stuff the 9 stone and belows were quicker. On the other hand, as soon as sitting out was required, it evened out, and in the stronger stuff the young ones were blown away. Much heavier than that I think you'd struggle in average conditions.

Coming back to free boats, how can you expect to be given a seaworthy Topper when something like THIS goes for £160!

clicky  Yes I saw that and was tempted but my boy and my Semi Son in Law travelled to Scotland on Sunday and came back with a very jolly B14. Because of this we have to leave the flat bum number.

skiff        (skĭf)  Pronunciation Key
n.   A flatbottom open boat of shallow draft, having a pointed bow and a square stern and propelled by oars, sail, or motor.

[Middle English skif, from Old French esquif, from Old Italian schifo, of Germanic origin.]

You have all cheered me up now. The rain is falling. I don't like work but I do still have to do it a bit, but I can't because the cement washes out of the cracks. The house is full of lazy students who I seem to have responsibility for and this 2.99 wine from the co op is horrible. Someone start an amusing and interesting topic to take my poor old mind off my worries. And.........as a Tasar sailor have you seen the pictures from the worlds in Phuket?  At least it should be a laugh to m orrow  night when the boys take out this B14 for the first time!!

Someone on our club forum spotted this. Not quite free, but it's close.

wonder what it goes for?
