A few from my youth:

Whilst outside Great Moor Sailing Club waiting for the gates to open for an open meeting, one of the other sailors thought they could save time by stepping the mast on their Lark while their boat was still on the trailer. However, they didn't notice the overhead power cables across the club gates, until they drove through them that is...

Sailing a hornet rudderless in Salcombe estuary, managed to collide with the Kingsbridge ferry ripping the sliding seat off the hornet completely.

At the National Sailing School in Cowes, sailed one of their 420s head on into one of the channel marker buoys - it was quite windy and the kite was up and there was a huge knot in the halyard, both me and the crew were trying to untangle it and didn't notice the buoy until we hit. I seem to recall it stoved the bow in quite nicely...

Bought a crappy old Hobie 18 not so long ago. Took her out with a multi-hull instructor who was class certifying me at the time. Nice day with medium wind + about 3 foot swells. We were having a blast reaching over flying one hull when we snapped a hull right infront of the forward cross bar. As the broken hull went down the mast fell towards us but fortunately no one got hurt. We got a tow back home after a while. Lesson learned, if a boat looks too good to be true at that price it probably is a lemon. Stay away from it!

Split open the bow of a 12 that I was  teaching someone rudderless sailing in after running into an Exe navigation mark head on coming out of a gybe - wasn't my boat either....

Wrote the rig of a  previous 12 off on an obscenely windy day at Salcombe a few years back after death rolling the top of the rig onto the  deck of a moored fishing boat.

my  most interesting breakage was   a 1m by 50cm  hole in the  bow  of a topper  when  I hit another one on the gunwale  after  sailing on the sea just after a cold winter which had  a fresh water ice  flows  on the  estuary.  Only plus  was it was a sailing centre boat.

Be careful of the varnish if using a heat gun and as it will cause it to bubble.

On a possibly related note - Anyone here mind giving tips ( In PM ) for drying out that much wood? ( Or would replacing be easier? )

A dry room and lots of circulation. Maybe a fan heater or heat gun
