Just been down to HISC for a swim with the dog, and spotted this red cherub with Strawberries on it. He'd just landed on the wrong side of the Mengeham channell, thinking he could walk across, (having broken something important in trad cherub style). Any road up, to cut a long story short, I helped him swim it back across, and met Messrs Strawberry and Noyce, and very friendly, pleasant chaps they where too! Nice to meet other forumites, isn't it? They'd met Hurricane, and had even spoken to him, despite his alledgedly sailing a laser, but had not found Doug.h yet, though I last saw them on their way to the bar, so there is every chance they will have met by now. If any one else on the forum comes to HISC, you're always welcome to give me a PM, I may be able to help with a bit of local knowledge, and I'm always pleased to meet people! We're such a nice bunch on here.... |

I went to HISC today, to have a look around and meet people. When I arrived, the Dangerous Strawberry was closely investigating the sandbanks while displaying the lovely paintjob on the hull (getting famous all over Chichester Harbour). It was rather windy and gusty, and many sailors had decided that the bar was the place to be this afternoon. We met timnoyce, Stuberry, Hobbo and Hurri. What a team! I also bumped into other people I know and I was very impressed with the atmosphere and the friendliness of it all. Here's a photo of the amazing duo coming back. And THIS is the unforgivable: Never mind your lame excuses about a class sponsorship, Stu... In the olden golden days, you'd be chained to Traitors' Gate by now... |
