man that would be really stupid! but also after that you can celebrate your reunion. but there you have to be very careful! tell her immediatley that you sailed that crap boat and you really regret it, cos that boat isn´t nearly as beautiful as her and she´s the only one in your life. best boat and friend. and another good thing would be to promise her that you´ll never ever set foot on another boat! it´ll take maybe a week till she forgives you, but then you have your reunion!n just be patient and try not to make new mistakes!

She did not like "sorry, I've got you sussed, your for sale now"

I'm replacing you with a younger; lighter; faster model.

So I guess BnS and Spot must have pretty cosmopolitan boats.  Bi-lingual at the very least.

Oh yes! I do speak French to my boat, quite often! However, I've never learnt to sail in France (and not much more in England, I can hear some sniggers here!), so I don't think in French for sailing terms. When I get to the mark, I tell my boat "Time to gybe!" then "Vas-y.. hop! Bravo!!!" He doesn't mind...    LOL, cos he's a boy, a Topper.

Weird thing, don't ask why: I sailed a Contender on Sunday and she was definitely a She! I might buy her one day   Big smile

I can only remember talking to the boat once recently and that was to
shout 'Stay' as we pitch poled big time. You have to understand the boats
name is 'Loco Perro' - translates to 'Mad Dog or Dog Mad'. but as with all
untrained rabbies infected animals it wouldn't listen!!!!

Mind you we do treat her quite bad. leaving her out side in all weathers,
chained up, without a kennel and no food. What can you expect. Keep it
quited or the RSPA will be on us!
