I think the "newbie" is doing well enough on his own. He's seems to have already got one of the Internet's nastiest, most persistent trolls in an incandescent rage. Well done that man Thumbs Up
Best wishes from deep in the woods

Bolleaux! Our pet troll does base his opinions upon his extensive knowledge (admittedly of a different sport) and is both eloquent and entertaining (IMHO). I think I've read 4-5 of Newbie's posts which have all been insulting to and individual rather than a group, and have provided zero actual informational input.

I know which I prefer. *cyber-hugs Grumph*

So how does one earn the right to be rude to people without reproach?

Bootscooter, you're a tw@t!

Ooooh some more controversy, so some bloke probably directed here from the fireball class association calls Grumpf out for his views on popular dinghies.. seems fair enough, there are plenty of people sailing Fireballs very happily. I guess most would say for the great racing, very few would probably say for the aesthetics and/or 'cool wall' quotient.... Although the irony of the V-Twin designer knocking another scow really isn't lost on me. But seriously if you wanted a symmetric trap double, it's either Firrball or 505... maybe an Osprey if you're lucky enough to have another choice, I can't think of any other single trap double I'd rather sail to be brutally honest.

As for the image, fair enough for Tom to raise a point, but I think the apology should have been enough without Giraffe stepping in... Wind yer neck in heh? I would possibly have have offered to delete the image by edit, but maybe this overthinking it, i certainly add images here without always crediting. It's a forum, not a blog. I also note that the image is embedded rather than uploaded, a minor technicality... But hey, in this thread minor technicalities are very, very important it seems.

Anyway plenty of wind today, no time for idle chitter chatter on the tinterweb, bye for now

Don't even get me started on copyright. And yes theft is pretty serious but I do accept your apology. Thank you.

This turkey came on, first post was just 'fool' and the second post not much better, now for all my faults, generally I've targeted y'all as a group, to save your ever so thin skins, until I've gotten to know or physically have met you, then you might get the full ironic thrust of my 'nasty' wit.

Nobody deserves personal insults without qualification, read the rules, read everything ever written about forums and lurking first. Come in guns blazing and you will get return fire, that's it. I'm not mad, not upset, not even a little perturbed, I hand it out, I fully expect it back, but sorry not from someone's first post ever.

And hey were they or were they not caught infringing rules and exposed through trial by internet? Not personally that I could give a tinkers cuss.

you must have forgotten then that you posted a picture of a somewhat large (ok fat as f***) personage claiming that it was the Phantom webbie. You had no idea who I was or whether I was a sensitive soul, whether this would upset that person - not quite in line with the first words you wrote earlier. Luckily I'm not, and I'm glad not cos it got me on the forum in the first place and therefore I got to meet some of you at the fom. Anyway I don't care, I just enjoy the banter
Everything I say is my opinion, honest
