Just keep at it. Hit him sideways, on top, round the knees, and the obvious of course.

Carbolic may be a bit smelly.  may I suggest bark chippings available from most garden centres.  Extremely good value.  Stick with the rum shag, great stuff.

Avoide horse hair shirts.  They are not for real sea men like yourself. All the hardcore sailors are wearing horsehair Y-fronts this summer.  If you find then a bit itchy line them with rockwool insulation.

You must be hardcore to handle the sheet loads on a Heron.

My tongue is never dry!

Dear Dave,

I went to admire fine sportsmen (and sportswomen, but it hasn't got the same effect) on Saturday. The annual Adur bathtub race! Have a look at their WEBSITE, complete with photo galleries!

My question is, dear Dave: would you know any craftsman of superior skills who could help building a mighty craft to enter next year's race? Rowing is done in teams, so you could even be part of the winning crew!

Hmm what do you think? Wanna help??

Dear Dave,

I think something might be wrong with the boat in this picture, can't quite put my finger on what the problem is though.

Any ideas?

Sailor girl i hate to break it to you but your wrong. If you look just below the bow, there is a slight scratch on the hull. You have to look reli carefully or otherwise it just looks fine to me
