Unfortunately the phantom menace still lurks in Bedford....but this weekend I am taking the plastic fantastic contender to Carsington to the Billy No Mates event which I did a couple of years ago and greatly enjoyed.  I am sure I should be going to the contender open at Weston but I don't fancy the drive and I want something less intense.

No, until I get my car sorted the phantom is trapped in Bedford.  I can't even move the MOGO, even though it is pretty much ready for launch.  Very frustrating.  It would be good for me in a phantom too...

I usually got to Bala for the Easter Regatta, but thanks to a knackered starter motor I'm going nowhere.  For some reason she will not let me put a tow hitch on her mr2, can't think why...

Anyway, fortunately the contender is already at Grafham so I might at least make it there with a spot of car jacking and rudder assembly dismantling (why do people have sports cars anyway?)  That being said, the forecast is naff for contenders....maybe I will go to Hunts and eat the chocolate before jeffers can win it....

No sailing for me, lots of measurements instead. Will finally be getting my
boat this weekend so I'll be taking lots of mast bend characteristic
measurements for designing my sail.
Not to mention the not so interesting parts such as measurements for boat
cover and toestraps.
