check the mast step area, they have a tendancy of cracking, this will lead to a bill of about £250 for the repair.

I would take the bung out and check for water.

If you know how the pump system on the kite works, make sure thats smooth, the carbon mast/boom/pole is ok and normal stuff really.

I got mine after sailing a Laser for 6 years and enjoy sailing it! Check out the yahoo group and class site for old copies of the news letters

hi,

i'm going to look at a rs700 tomorrow. It's not an old boat however is fairly cheap. Is there anything major that i should look out for structuraly? I know about the sails and flaky paint on the racks.
