I sent a sail to Scotland (from Cambs) in a large 'toblerone' style home made tube via Parcel Farce. It made it there ok :-).

When I have sent or recieved sails, Courier charges have been between £10 and £20.

A lot of it depends on the weight of the item, but talk to a local carpet shop. See if you can get one of the card tubes that goes down the middle of a carpet. Can usually fit a sail down the middle of that .. Or at worst, slide the sail around that.

Wrap it in black bags so noone knows what it is, and there ya go!

And personally .. City Link! Can't beat their service. Don't, whatever you do, Send anything with Amtrak (If they are still collecting). They have just gone bust!

Has anyone got any experience of posting / couriering sails. I need to send a rolled Vareo sail to the other end of the country. I was going to dismember a large cardboard box and create a long 'toblerone' shape to protect the sail then apply lots of tape to the outside. Has anyone got any idea of how much it might cost to send or any recommended carriers i.e.  Parcel Farce vs City Link etc.

Many thanks in advance,

Nigel
