Were there really six fleet? I couldn't see anything else than RS800 in that clip. Maybe the others aren't quite so dramatic... or maybe the editing guy sails an 800

(no kidding, when I'm choosing photos for our website, it's hard not to select Contenders too often - they're so much better looking than the rest...  )

No thats longer than the rest so they are so difficult to cut out of any photo

With ref to the vid, I quite liked the darkening in some of the shots paticularly the one with the red kites.  I would try to use it but a little more sparingly.  As for the music ditch the naff modern interpretation done by a thin sounding bird and get a meaty traditional version.

...if you want to see it without the darkening etc, but with clear colorful film and awesome sailing then the DVD will be out for you to see soon...

...Until then I hope the trailer keeps generating interest...

I've been getting a lot of emails asking about the DVD and for more information, so I figured letting people know about it on here might be a good idea...

The DVD is being put together at the moment and will consist of a 10-15 minute edited piece about the whole of the RS Eurocup event, incorporating film of Lake Garda's scenery, all the fleets (evenly balanced coverage between the fleets, not like the trailer where the 800s dominated a bit...apologies to the other fleets), the setting up and launching of boats, the social, and of course the racing and prize ceremony. The DVD will also feature all of the footage I have of two fleets of your choice in order to allow those buying the DVD to guarantee they get all the coverage that was made of them during the week.

All of this will be made clearer in the next couple of weeks when the DVD is complete and order forms will be made available.

I hope that is ok for the time being

As a trailer, I though it looked great. Might even put it on my xmas list. Which is I suppose the purpose of a trailer

Does anyone have a copy of the dvd that got sent out for the 2006 eurocup?  It was sent out free to anyone that attended the time before last?
