Make that 'were' according to info last weekend.

I think you'll find that the Alto pole is a quite different animal to the 400/4000 poles with their very limited angle of swing which is of relatively little value, I'd agree.

They changed manufacturer AGAIN? In fact, did Rondar even build one hull?

4000 and 400 are both Phil Morrison designs.

Josh (MRJPBUZZ585), knows more than me on this, but i think they got the prototypes out but the new centreboard casing cracked, and they never managed to get out a decent boat

I gather Simon Cory now builds the Buzz. He does pick 'em...

Though to be fair I always saw the Beta as a small Laser 2000 rather than an RS200 competitor. Didn't think it looked bad in that role.

Thanks guys, now the thread has charged off discussing sprits I'll take it it that the boat is a Beta.
Might even be the first one, the sail number is 1001.

Whats an alto. I did a quick Google and it brought up something which looked like a osprey with a Asymmetric spinni. Does any one know more about this? Will they be at the dinghy show this weekend?

Made from recycled 505's, rather nice looking boat.
