Top tip: don't buy a sailing steamer!

Steamers designed for surfing are much better in my opinion, most are designed for more time being spent in the water make sure you buy one with some sort of neck seal (also known as a batwing) helps stop the water diving down your back when you go in.

I bought      this      in november i've spent a few very cold days swimming around my board/boat and have been very toasty, one day involved over 2 hours of floating about in the water and i was toasty warm!

For best prices i'd recomend:
Shore
The Wetsuit Outlet

This is based on my opinion, and on my own experiances

I'd go for the Gill one too, very comfy........the best value way of doing it is probably to look out for one of the better brands but in last years colours - might be some good deals at the Excel boat show ?

Ive got the Gill hurakan @£120

Properly toasty especially with a thermal rasky under it- the zhik or magic fleecy lined ones are very good I spent about 25mins in the water getting the main down on friday after it came out the track and after half and hour the fleece top underneath was drying in patches (the zhik one)

P&B have a gul one at £100 that would be pretty good if you're not repeatedly dunking yourself!

Almost too late to bother .. But its getting chilly, and I have decided to finally get a decent steamer / wetsuit.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to brands + how much should I be looking at spending? Some are £70 .... Others are verging on £200!

Are the cheaper ones still going to be decent quality and warm .. or is it worth spending a bit more?

Cheers,

James
