Theres nothing wrong with putting bigger sails on your boat - yes he may of got that from me. But what he did from there was his own special way........... & yes I did give him that 9er main, largely as it was taking up space at home!

That picture at the top reminds me, something I have always wondered, why do Cherubs rig up on their side? Are the sails just clipped to the top of the mast rather than using halyards or is there another reason?

There are no halyards - a boat breaker is used to put on the rig tension. The main reason for not having halyards - is one the weight, and 2 the 'bow and arrow' effect it has on the mast!

Also its ten times easier to rig the boat and on my 12 I can do a complete rig change in 10mins!

The pic was taken in New Quay, wales. & yes the masts do rest on the spreaders, but if the spreaders cant take the weight of a mast on them then they are not fit enough to be sailed with! Most carbon spreaders have tape / plastic or metal end fittings to avoid scratching.

There is if you make the boat go much slower than it did before you messed with it!

If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right
