I think the 800 they were testing was a slightly modified version, so it MAY affect the current values / boats, but I think they want to keep the 2 seperate?

Just a thought, if the RS800 gets selected at the trials as the twin trapeze skiff for the Olympics, would it possibly mean a boost in popularity for the class as a whole ?

what is the race circuit like for the 14's as we want to be racing at opens etc regularly

also are 14's mast head kites?

but i guess we will go to ally pally boat show and go to different stands giving people X amount of time to 'sell' their class to us. now that would be fun

14s have been mast head for a long while now!
How much do you have to spend?
You could probably get a foiler for about 3,500 plus. Which would obliterate 800's
Oh and as for foil depth it depnds on the boat and wether they have the longer high aspect ratio boards which are quite long. Norml board draft is about 4-5foot 11 ish.
I strongly urge you to get a 14!
Cheers,
Alex
