Hi Gem,
I dont think glass matting et al would be the way to go here. If memory serves the 420 deck/hull joint rolls over and the 2 halves are glued together. You may find you stand a better chance by digging the old glue out and replacing it with new (I used wests when i did my Laser). Not only will it look neater it will probably be stronger as well. Hi all i need to repair the seam between the hull and deck on our 420, shes letting in a fair bit of water esp, when upside down!! i thought fibreglass tape would be the best option but a bit bewildered about where to buy..? not as keen on matting from our local diy store as it looks poo, also, what is the best covering paint/gelcoat? gem x |
