At HISC they recognise that in our typical conditions, fast boats do better than slow, so h/caps are adjusted up/down a couple of % at a split point (can't remember exactly where!) Works well as it is based on a lot of experience, though it is still normally a fast boat that wins the big handicap events. Portchester followed suit a season or so ago, and found it made no effective difference to overall results, though a lot of people felt better!

Would love to have a crack at it but I can't get the necessary passes due to family and girlfriend :-S.

Some of our Phantom crown were muttering about popping over though so you never know......

What What Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat??!!!!  Family........Girlfriend.............Think of your poor lonely boat, spending its nights covered up with no one to talk to in its dinghy space looking forward to each weekend dreaming of being sailed, competing, RACING in all its splendor and glory!  Do it for the boat, do it as a 'thanks for yet another great year' present.  Race at the grand prix and let your boat know that it's at least worth that one day!

ok.....maybe a bit dramatic

Terrible isn't it....I must be getting old!

Giving December a rest anyway as the boat needs to wonder off to the nice warm boat yard for a bit of tlc (and hopefully sort out the annoying little leak that has been bugging me for a while).
