I've sailed at Hickling, Horning , Beccles, NBYC at Wroxham.
I'm biased and prefer Horning,
Most clubs sail in circles at their own little bit of water..

Round the cans outside the club,
Round the cans up on Black Horse Broad,
Down rivers to the pub have lunch and back ( Thurne Lion or the Acle Bridge Inn).
So there's a nice variety of sailing..

The winter club Snowflakes SC Snowflakes – Snowflake Sailing Club, Horning, Norfolk (sfsc.co.uk) does the same except Black Horse Broad is closed, so we can't use that.

Both Clubs are also some of the cheapest on the broads but you are expected to do duties...

Still sailing in circles

I'd love to come to that, maybe I'll work on the Mrs, it's been our goal to move up there and not tell the girls we've moved or our address, just spend what we've got left pottering around the broads and checking out all the local sailing clubs, Horning carries fond memories of past trips.

Saturday 30th APR 2022, Horning Boat show, free, open to the public, based at the  village and Swan Pub greens by the river plus up on the recreation ground..

Horning Sailing club, are having an open day.
You may come just for a cup of tea, cheaper than anywhere else, we have no paid staff it's all run by volunteers and have a break watching from the river front.

Or you may go for a 20 minute - 30 minute trip in our sailing boats, Most are of the won't fall over kind, cos there's a big lump of lead hanging below..
Under 16's free, £5 for those over, we need to pay for insurance. (qualified helmsperson supplied)

For those experienced and fit there are likely to be dinghies available.
life jackets supplied, we prefer flat shoes, High heels and varnished woodwork are not a good idea..

Me I'll probably be of Car Park duty..
