There is one effective 12 in the UK, a converted Cherub with a No2 12 rig from Fyfe in NZ. Nothing with a full size rig though. Its a gloriously fun boat to sail although not my personal taste for every week.

12s actualy have a 45kg minimum weight which doesnt include that hefty bowsprit Bowsprits weigh about 1.5- 2kgs, masts weigh about 8-10 kgs so still about 3-4 kgs lighter, but that deosn't seem to make a huge difference, Riggin rolling over takes no more than 15 minutes on your side |
