Why not offer as a cost option? They are definitely selling fewer though.

Toppers are injection moulded, so I would guess it's much more sensible to run a few dozen of the same colour through the machine, then wait until you need another batch.
Colour choice soon starts to imply building to order.

And i guess they ain't selling the numbers they once were so why raise your costs by having to do more than one colour
Everything I say is my opinion, honest

They had a very limited number of silver bottoms for some anniversary, I think all with purple tops.

They used to change the topside colour every 2/3 years with a sail to match. In my last year of sailing them it was dark blue (before that turquoise).

They gave out all white sails with a red or blue trim for nationwide circuit winners one year, and they were popular so did a run of them, but I think they went against some class rule / specification so were pretty short lived.

They got rid of the secondary colour options when I was coaching them, which was particularity annoying as it made it pretty hard to pick out who was who!

RS200s have gone the same way as well, I think I have one of the last wedgewood blue ones, then they did a run of light blue after that, then now all are grey mist.

All the colourful, cheerful people have dropped out of sailing? You could be on to something there.

I just think the old raspberry and light blue hulls (and associated white, grey, pink, pale blue sails) look better than the red.
