Weight equalisation/ success balast effectively creating personal handicap is already wide spread in motorsport....

F1 one min weight is Car _ Driver + Overalls/Helmet and HANS device. Surprised that F1 has not adopted some kind of success balast type system though. worked well in Touring Cars and shows just how good a car/driver is when they still win despite the success ballast.

btw. I reckon Nico chopped him; Nico was in the wrong mode, knew Lewis was there with pace and moved over anyway.

I think if you'd put any two drivers in that situation exactly the same thing would happen. While some suggest Lewis should have looked at the long game I think recent years have shown the benefit of being in the lead at the end of the first lap, so as soon as he saw that red light flashing he was going to go for a pass, as he wouldn't want backed into the car behind either. Equally on realising he was down on power Nico was going to try and cover the inside line at the next corner.
