What about a Leader, lighter than a GP and still quite roomy and their is a GRP one for sale for £800 on apollo duck.

Good spot! I also know Morston rather well having grown up just down the road.
Ideally I'd want something with a road trailer but could always source one.

How about the standard Topper Topaz? (something like the uno plus). Would that be considered too small? They seem to be more plentiful on the secondhand market than the Magno.

People quote them as being snug with 2 adults so maybe not!

have a look at the miracle facebook page - a composite boat has just been posted for sale at £750. the only small snag is that its in scotlandshire

You'd have to pay export duties on that one to bring it across the border.
