What have you done to jimbo?

You're an alien and I claim my £5 spotters fee.

Edit: Er when you've finished with him, conducting sexual experiments and the like, have a look at his processor, it's suffering from old lilac boat overload, can you fix it and help restore his charisma before you send him back?

Which sort of begs the question whether this is the start of a "grey market" for Laser like boats following on from the Kirby lawsuits.

What does that do for the new market, as well?
I'm sure 'official' Laser stockists are going to be well chuffed with this latest development.

P.S. Not defending the mark up prices.

The Dutch 'Kirby Builder' have been successfully sued by LPE for importing Aussie Lasers, apparently.

which sort of makes me laugh about the exclusivity assumed by Northampton Sailboats who charge £4.5k for same thing.

stock 'em high, sell 'em cheap... sounds like a good idea to bring Laser sailing back its roots as a beach boat you can go race against some mates.

The more caterpillars we have squirming around in Lasers, the more butterflies we can sail against in the future!

I've never thought of myself as a catapillar (oldish one at that), but I commend your choice of analogy... now am I ever going to metamorphosis into something beautiful?

gawd help me, but I may be about to agree with GRF... what have you done to the old y'welly? I thought L*sers were the knee-wrecking, demoralising, demon spawn of dinghydom, practically guaranteed to put even the keenest newbie off within mere seconds of plastic touching water....

nope, In my, 'the world is a lovely place' positive outlook, I'm hunting the silver lining...

push all the kids and adult newbies through them (not mine though, they're too precious) and by the time I'm sixty, there'll be a whole bunch of disenfranchised ex-squaddies with crippling knee and back problems.

It's the basis for a decent K1 fleet...

(the truth is, without our growing Laser fleet, our club would be completely fecked... not only economically, but also socially, as the last thing I want is a place that only offers handicap racing.  I'd probably jack it in if that's all that was on offer.)
