i talk to my boat, i ebem say hi to it if i havent been sailing for a few weeks. also when on the water and moving well, i sing to it and she likes that and keeps me out on the wire. shes a great boat, i now have a "bond" with her.

just re-reading wat i wrote, i sound like i need to seek help!

I think every1 talks to their boat in some way or another, or refers to it as if it was a person, e.g."I think she'd be happier with more kicker" or something like that! It must just be some sort of hidden insanity that sailing brings out in ppl!

i can´t remember where i heard that and who it was about, but there was someone who always talked to his boat and stroked her if she made good results and he cared about the boat and covered it nicely, but oh my god if there was a bad result on that day he didn´t even put the rig tension off or covered her.
but talking to your boat is only healthy! imean i´m talking to mine, but mostly when there is no one near me cos it really looks a bit insane! if the boat isn´t happy nothing would work!

fast, expensive to run, very unstable but at least they've got nice racks...

What?? And of course being walked all over by 2 blokes...just like real life then.

the breaking case isn´t too hard to manage! if something breaks you should treat her with love and give her some rest off shore with view to the sea/lake. after some mins resting give her a sensitive maintenance. no hard movements or tools falling on her body. then u can´t do anything wrong.
but if she doesn´t like them anymore is a bit more difficult. she can only be fed up with you wether you´re boring or you do something wrong. in case you´re boring you should start sailin in heavy winds and do some spectacular capsizes. if you do something wrong, go to the next trainer and get some help (in special cases it could also be a mate)
