We are lacking in the foredeck department. So even if we have a very long pole, the actual distance from the mast to the end of the pole isn't going to be very different than on a RS800. |

So why dont the cherub class allow fixed poles then?
Surely it would be much easier to make and use than a retractable? |

there are a few reasons the main one being most clubs find it hard enough to accomadate the tipping over of the boats. It takes up alot of space. If you add a pole out the frount of the boat its getting silly.
